Project Overview
Our client in Leatherhead wanted a new decked area to change the look of the garden and improve the outdoor spaces to use in the summer months for outdoor dining and relaxing.
We installed a frame of 4 by 2 treated timber on top of theire existing patio, usually on soil we would need to install concrete posts into the ground to be able to sustain the structure frame depending on height.
We then used gaffer tape to cover the top of the timber for extra water protection or paint so the decking will last up to 50 years.
We created a flower box around the existing palm tree with membrane inside to protect the wood and then applied the decking on top, using 5mm gaps to permit the wood to expand and to allow for any movements.
